There is nothing worse than getting an ugly stain on that favorite piece of clothing you cherish so much. My son loves his “Hoodies” on those cold unforgiving days when the temperatures are low and the cold goes right through you.
Unfortunately the school had done some painting on lockers and railings and either he missed the notice or it was not put up. Either way an ugly paint stain was planted on his sleeve. What kind of paint it was, we have no clue.
It had been there for about 4 months, had been washed several times and other spot removers failed. I had pretty much given up and looked at the hoodie as a lost cause. I was taking a stroll through Home Depot and found an unusual spot and stain remover. It was called “Paint & Stain Remover” go figure, made by a company in Barrie Ontario, Winning Colours.
I had a look at the directions and decided to give it a try. I applied the Paint & Stain Remover to area very liberally and let it sit for about an hour. The hoodie got tossed in with the next dark load along with a large dose of skepticism.
The laundry was done and the search was on for the painted hoodie as soon as the lid was opened. Pulling the hoodie out and finding myself shocked, no paint! I looked over the sleeves several times to make sure I was not imagining things.
It is amazing what you can find in a bottle labeled so simple. Rather than throw out that article of clothing that got an accidental stain or paint on it, try “Paint & Stain Remover”, you too might be shocked at what you don’t find in the end.
They can be found at www.WinningColours.com. Below is a slide show of before and after.
