With high interest regarding spa pump leaks, specifically shaft seals, I decided to dig into my archives and see if I had a better break down. I was able to find an original Hayward Pump complete break down of parts.

Although the break down looks like a swimming pool pump, the strainer housing is separate and can be removed for spa pak use. This may not be exactly what you have powering your hot tub, but the pump assembly will be generally the same.

If you look at the parts list, the one major difference is the impeller which should be rated the same as the horse power of the motor application.  Click the picture below to download a larger copy.
